Unfortunately, some times there is only enough time to experience a handful or so attractions. If that is the case for your first visit may we suggest these attractions as a place to get started. For more information about these attractions click on the name to take you to Disney's official page.
Around the World: Walt Disney's vision for EPCOT was a futuristic city of tomorrow and while EPCOT did not exactly match Walt's vision for the park the World Showcase is a unique idea that acts as the focal point of this park. World Showcase is made up of 11 pavilions which are representative of their sponsoring countries. Those countries are Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, United States, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom and Canada. While the unofficial around the world experience is to sample an alcoholic beverage from each country, sampling one of anything from each country is a great way to experience the World Showcase with the whole family. One great way Disney has come up with to make World Showcase a true family experience is to add Phineas and Ferbs Agent P's World Showcase experience. We highly recommend this for anyone experienceing the World Showcase.
Spaceship Earth: Is a slow dark ride attraction at the entrance to the EPCOT park. It is located in the parks Icon that looks like what many refer to as the "giant golf ball". The ride is relaxing and extremely informative, giving a quick lesson in the history of human civilization. The Disney Imagineers work in so many details that work all of your senses including smell.
Test Track: Here is one for the thrill seekers in your group. One of the faster rides at Disney Parks, you start your attraction experience by designing the test vehicle you will later ride in. Sponsored by GM, the ride gets everyone involved in automotive technology demonstrating the importance of design in the road vehicles we drive each day. Then your group loads into on of the test track vehicles and your vehicle runs through several design tests finished off with a high speed run of up to 65mph.
Soarin: While Soarin's wait times can be rather long, if you score a Fast Pass, it's definitely a favorite for many people. This ride is fun, interactive and is another attraction for all your senses. Again, the imagineers give all your senses a work out, as you and your party are lifted high up into the air in a unique wrap around theatre system that moves with the motion on the screen. It's a great way to experience the sights, sounds, and smells of California.
Illuminations: Reflections of Earth fireworks: As if getting to experience many different aspects of 11 different countries around World Showcase was not enough, you can finish off your world tour experience with an amazing fireworks and visual display. If this is your first trip you definitely want to stay and experience Illuminations.
*We could not create a list about favorite attractions without mentioning Living with the Land: It's not everyone's favorite and probably not the most exciting for kids, but it's extremely informative and interesting especially if you do any gardening or just love food in general. There is also a great tour called "Behind the seeds Tour" that we highly recommend.
